LORD, LET MY CHANGE COME
Texts: Job 14:14, Psalm 4:2a
OVERVIEW
In our text, Job says: “All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change or till my transformation come” and in Psalm 4:2, David says: “O you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? What David was experiencing from the sons of men or his enemies was in the form of adversity. All the appointed times or the days of every human being on earth are full of warfare and challenges”.
As you are looking for change in order to fulfill your destiny, I pray that you and your family will not remain the same.
In our text, just like most of us, Job did not want to remain the same.
Job faced profound trials, but the Lord promised him a change in status. In Job 8:7, it is written: “Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.” Your adversaries and those who disregard you may see you as insignificant now, but through the power of the Almighty God, your transformation is near in Jesus' name. An extraordinary shift is coming to your life. God’s promises are true, as the Bible declares in Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”
Job experienced a remarkable turnaround, going from humble beginnings to abundance and prosperity in every part of his life. David, too, questioned how long the wicked would turn his honor into shame and brought his struggles before God because he sought restoration.
So, what is glory? It is the potential and gifts God has given you—your wealth, honor, wisdom, strength, fame, righteousness, holiness, and the goodness of God. These were the very things that the wicked sought to turn into shame in David’s life. When God created us, He did not design us for dishonor, shame, weakness, failure, or suffering. But change is coming for you and your loved ones in Jesus’ name.
If you have been yearning for a change, know that God hears your prayers. I ask the Lord to grant you and your family an extraordinary shift: from defeat to victory, failure to success, dishonor to honor, depression to celebration, frustration to freedom, internal struggles to perfect peace, and from hopelessness to joy and testimony. Trust in God and persist in prayer as David did until your breakthrough arrives. May this message inspire a transformation in your life so profound that you will never be the same again, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
